Animals Plus began in 1991 with a desire to build confidence, ability, and character in riders young and the young at heart. The program grew to include BMB Boarding, therapeutic riding for riders with disabilities, and riding for at risk teens. Therapeutic Riding
Therapeutic Riding offers physical, social, and spiritual benefits to people with disabilities. For those who use a wheel chair, riding a horse will work muscle groups used in walking. For those who have cognitive and or behavioral disabilities, communication skills may improve through interaction with the horse and instructor. Overall, a feeling of satisfaction and improved quality of life can be achieved by learning how to ride and care for a horse.
Basic Horsemanship classes are offered to teens who are at risk of becoming incarcerated. Our goal is to build confidence and self esteem in the students so that they will be better able to overcome and deal with life's obstacles.
Kirby has a very kind disposition. His grand sire on his dam's side is appaloosa hall of famer Mister Re and his sire's side showcases running quarter with Prince Plaudit for color.
